How do I connect those devices to my tablet/phone ?
There are several ways of connecting most devices:
- Through USB using a "OTG Adapter"
- Using Bluetooth or Bluetooth LE for devices that support that kind of connection
- Using WiFi for devices that support a network connection. Devices like the Pignology "Piglet" make it possble to connect serial devices to the network.
Do I need to be connected to the Internet to use Wizkers?
You don't. You will need an Internet connection to first download and install the app on Chrome, Chromebooks, or Android, but once you have done this, you can work 100% offline.
If you are working on Wizkers hosted as a server and using a browser for accessing it, then you will need a network link to that server.

Can you add support for my equipment?
Probably - the Wizkers framework supports most common link types - from network to Bluetooth LE, USB HID, etc. We have experience implementing from the most simple serial commands to fairly involved binary protocols.
If you want us to implement support for your equipment, please contact us at info@wizkers.io . Depending on what works best for you, we can do this as a one-time job, or as part of a development + support contract, which is the approach that is most commonly used by our customers.

I love the artwork on the instruments, can I use it for my own software?
Absolutely! Please keep in mind that all original artwork is licensed under the Creative Commons CC-BY-SA license, which means that if you use the artwork, either directly or artwork based on Wizkers' original artwork (a "derivative" in legalese talk), you need to preserve the CC-BY-SA clause and give due attribution to the original author. Please refer to the Creative Commons site for more details.
